Scott T. Gibson Biography
Scott Gibson became actively involved in Maryland Republican politics in 1998 when he started working for Ellen Sauerbrey’s gubernatorial campaign headquarters in Towson. Since then Gibson has garnered significant grassroots and fundraising experience through aiding the late Maryland State Senator Bob Hooper, Delegate Susan McComas, Harford County Executive David R. Craig, Harford County Council President Billy Boniface, and countless other Republican candidates for state and local office.

Gibson is a stalwart member of many local political organizations. He is member and past vice president of the Harford County Young Republicans; twice elected to the Board of Directors of the Republican Club of Harford County, and has successfully chaired the Harford County Republican Central Committee last three Lincoln-Reagan Dinners.

Gibson’s political leadership was recognized when he was awarded the University of Pennsylvania’s Fels Institute of Government Award for Excellence in Politics and the Harford County Republican Party’s Imogene Johnston Award. Additionally, he has been invited to join the adjunct faculties of Mount Saint Mary’s University and Harford Community College, where he lectured on American government and politics.

Gibson resides in the county’s beautiful Darlington area and belongs to St Ignatius Roman Catholic Church in Hickory, MD. An active member of his community, Gibson serves on the Board of Directors of the Salvation Army of Harford County, Harford United Charities, and the Harford County Sheriffs Office Pension Fund.
